Large Size Self Storage Units

Large sized mini storage units can be very helpful for storing extra furniture, appliances, vehicles and boxes that just won't quite fit in your closets or garage at home. These units are large in size so space shouldn't be at too much of a premium. These units are higher in price than the smaller units but can be quite a savings when you compare it to the cost of acquiring or renting an additional house just to store the stuff you can't get in the house you live in. Here are a couple examples of typical large sized self storage units and what can usually
be stored effectively in them. 10x20 - 200 square feet - about the size of an extra large bedroom or single car garage. What typically fits in a 10x20 self storage unit? Furnishings from a two or three bedroom apartment/home; Appliances, Furniture, Boxes, Clothing or a car or truck; Business Merchandise. Contents of a 24 ft moving truck.
10x30 - 300 square feet - about the size of an extra long single car garage. What typically fits in a 10x30 self storage unit? Furnishings from a four or five bedroom home; Major Appliances, Furniture, Numerous Boxes or a car or truck; boat on trailer; Snowmobiles/ATV's on trailer. Contents of a 40 ft moving truck.
20x20 - 400 square feet - about the size of a typical 2 car garage. What typically fits in a 20x20 self storage unit?
Furnishings from a very large 3000 + square foot home; Major Appliances, Furniture, Numerous Boxes; boat on trailer; Snowmobiles/ATV's on trailer. Contents of a 40 ft moving truck. Multiple vehicles.
These units are quite large and you should have no problems getting all your stuff in them. They will be expensive to rent, but if packed right should help you solve all of your self storage needs. Remember when packing these units to leave space to walk throughout the entire unit allowing you access to any of the stuff in the unit, without having to take stuff out to get to it.
