With just a couple weeks til the start of the 2009-2010 NFL season gets underway here are the NFL Power Rankings: The contenders
1 Patriots 11-5-0 Tom Brady is back so are ther Patriots
2 Steelers 12-4-0 2009 Super bowl Champs
3 Colts 12-4-0 Reports of the Colts demise are exaggerated.
4 Giants 12-4-0 Eli Manning has a new contract but no receivers
5 Eagles 9-6-1 The Eagles have McNabb and Vick
6 Cardinals 9-7-0 Defending NFC Champs find it harder this year
7 Titans 13-3-0 Titans will be back strong
8 Chargers 8-8-0 Chargers play in NFL's worst division
9 Vikings 10-6-0 Favre is big upgrade from Jackson
10 Falcons 11-5-0 Tony Gonzales should help the offense The Pretenders
11 Cowboys 9-7-0 Cowboys have a new stadium, but now no receivers
12 Panthers 12-4-0 Quarterback issues but great running game
13 Texans 8-8-0 The Texans should be better than last year
14 Ravens 11-5-0 The Ravens won't replicate last years record
15 Packers 6-10-0 Defense is marginal and offense is inconsistent
16 Bears 9-7-0 Cutler will help, but no real receivers
17 Dolphins 11-5-0 Last year was an abberation
18 Jets 9-7-0 Probably starting a rookie at quarterback
19 Saints 8-8-0 Great offense no defense
20 Redskins 8-8-0 Should be good on defense, but will struggle to score
21 Bills 7-9-0 TO should help on offense and hurt team chemistry Not even prentending, just bad
22 49ers 7-9-0 Decent defense, no quarteback or offense
23 Seahawks 4-12-0 Injuries killed them last year this year it's a lack of talent
24 Bengals 4-11-1 How many Bengals will be arrested this year?
25 Jaguars 5-11-0 Decent on defense but zero offensive firepower
26 Buccaneers 9-7-0 Rookie coach and no quarteback make for a long year in Tampa
27 Broncos 8-8-0 How long before Broncos ask Shannahan back?
28 Browns 4-12-0 No offense or defense and coach who just got fired
29 Chiefs 2-14-0 Haley and Cassell will help just not much
30 Raiders 5-11-0 Raiders = no offense- could be 2nd in division behind Chargers
31 Rams 2-14-0 The Rams are bad
32 Lions 0-16-0 The Lions are worse
