#18 Torrey Pines South By Jeff Cain # 18 at Torrey Pines South course is a 525 yard par 5. This hole runs north back towards the clubhouse. The tee shot is relatively simple, with bunkers on both sides of a fairly generous landing area. If you hit a good drive then going for the green is possible, but if you are short off the tee or end in the rough or the bunkers you will be forced to lay up. If your drive is good enough you can go for the green in two but it is all carry with a lake directly in front of the green and bunkers left, right an long. Green slopes from back to front and the only decent place to miss is short right. If you lay up now you have to hit a wedge to a green that is sloped from back to front and has front pins all the time. All in all a great risk reward hole not hard to make birdie, but get out of position and this hole can make you pay!
